Coordinator for the Sustainable Kazakhstan Research Institute (SKRI)

Требования к квалификации
  • Advanced university degree (Masters or PhD) in environmental science, environmental policy, natural sciences, chemistry, international relations, administration or social sciences is required. A first level university degree with relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience in a related area may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required.
  • Experience with the national government or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), or other relevant international organizations is required.
  • Evidence of a track record in handling complex organizational issues is required.
  • Experience in liaising with government agencies, international organization's funds and programmes, donors and other stakeholders, and training in Monitoring & Evaluation and results-based programming is desirable.

Задачи
  • Draft project proposals and prepare project reports (note: this will be a significant component of this position)
  • Organize and prepare written inputs including: i) summaries of country and regionally specific environmental challenges, ii) research on an academic and policy level, iii) programme and project-related briefings, iv) reporting and website materials, iv) project proposals, v) project reports, v) talking points and briefings.
  • Initiate and perform consulting, monitoring and training on environmental and sustainability related themes.
  • Research and analyze data, public information and reports pertaining to sustainability related themes, particularly concerning environmental challenges and their solutions in Kazakhstan and regionally.
  • Outreach to stakeholders from the public and private sector as well as international organizations
  • Perform internal and external administrative tasks for the executive director and the Institute as a whole (e.g. organizing travel, internal documentation, organization of meetings and reporting).
  • Translation services for internal administrative tasks, meetings with stakeholders, lectures and events, research work, etc.
  • Social media support and outreach on Instagram and other social media platforms
