Narxoz University is now a United Nations partner university!


This week, Narxoz University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the United Nations, Kazakhstan. The document was signed by the Kazakhstan UN Resident Coordinator Mr. Norimasa Shimomura, and Dr. (Prof.) Stanislav Buyanskiy, the Acting Rector of Narxoz University. The MOU provides a strong foundation for the development of joint activities in the following areas: research, fundraising, internships for students at the UN, lectures by UN staff for students and staff of Narxoz, and the development of the human resources in general. Narxoz’s Sustainable Kazakhstan Research Institute (SKRI), headed by Dr. (PhD) Brendan Duprey, will coordinate all partnership efforts.
The Republic of Kazakhstan is one of 193 countries in the world that have adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Narxoz University is the first UN partner university in the country in the line of joint cooperation in support of the implementation of the Agenda (Sustainable Development Goals).
