On October 23, 2020, there was the opening event dedicated to an agreement between the UN and the Narxoz University.

There were discussed issues of implementation of the SDG’s in the educational process of Narxoz University. There was also noted the role of applied research in achieving the SDG’s. Also was described building a network of sustainable universities in Russia and Central Asia.
