The competition was attended by organizations with extensive experience in conducting research in the field of human rights, women's rights, gender equality, and economic rights and opportunities for women, as well as with experience in conducting mixed methodological (quantitative and qualitative) research in the country.
The implementation of the project is designed for 3.5 months from October 2019 to January 2020. All costs for conducting the study and inviting an international expert from the United States are covered by UN Women.
The study aims to provide conclusions and recommendations that will allow for policy and programmatic measures to empower women in the country.
The research project will assess the cost of expanding early childhood education services and assess the needs for expanding access to such services. It will also provide a comprehensive assessment of the consequences of the economic inactivity of women engaged in unpaid work (minimum pension for achievements in retirement age, ensuring access to social security and health insurance). This will allow political and programmatic measures to be taken to empower women in the country.
Based on the results of the study, a round table will be held with the participation of representatives of central and local authorities, non-governmental organizations, international experts to discuss the intermediate results of the study, and develop recommendations for the empowerment of women, assess their contribution to the national economy, as well as the policy of female employment and institutionalization of care services.
