The leading Kazakhstani company for the development of techno-entrepreneurship will become a partner of the Kazakhstan Institute for Future Prospects Research (QRIFS), which operates at our university.
The signing ceremony was attended by the director of this institute John Swinney, researcher Elena Muzykina, head of the Institute for Applied Research Aigerim Raimzhanova, as well as representatives of the Office for International Development and Alumni Relations.
The agreement will mark the beginning of the development of mechanisms for mutual cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of future research. In particular, the projects will concern the promotion of technological entrepreneurship through business incubation tools. In the near future, the parties plan to organize a series of conferences and trainings aimed at popularizing the practice of long-term forecasting in Kazakhstan.
The main tasks of QazTech Ventures JSC are the development of the private capital market through venture financing, support of private business incubators, the provision of technology consulting services, as well as the conduct of training programs. The Society is working to create venture capital funds to support technology companies in Kazakhstan.
The Kazakhstan Research Institute for Future Studies and Forecasting (QRIFS) is an “experimental”, hands-on research laboratory designed to further explore the future and strategic forecasting in Kazakhstan, Central Asia.
