The meeting was attended by the Rector of the SDU Kuanysh Ergaliev, the teaching staff of the SDU, as well as representatives of the partner universities of the project - project coordinators from their universities:
- JSC “Narxoz University” - Gaini Mukhanova
- IITU - Gulnar Zakirova.
The parties determined the composition of the alliance of partner universities of the Erasmus + program. They discussed the implementation of the first phase of the project and considered a number of topical issues on the implementation of the upcoming joint plans.
In summary form, the agenda of the information meeting was as follows:
1. Acquaintance of the consortium members with the new top management of the SDU.
2. Familiarization with the composition of the consortium (representatives) of universities: Narxoz, SDU, IITU.
3. Discussion of the implementation of the first stage of the project and pre-project activity.
4. Working issues and recommendations on the composition of working groups - project teams.
5. Preliminary discussion of the distribution of functions within the project.
6. Discussion of organizational issues.
7. Question-answer session.
Note that the Erasmus + program is part of the Bologna process and aims to increase the mobility of students, teachers, university staff and generally to increase the potential of higher education (VET) in accordance with the principles of the Bologna process. This meeting was an important starting step in the implementation of the project (until its official launch, which is scheduled for January 15, 2020). SDU - for the first time became a member of the Erasmus + VET program. Therefore, the consortium members, in accordance with their experience and competencies, shared their recommendations, advice and professional knowledge with representatives of the SDU on planning events, completing tasks, meeting deadlines for implementing project work packages, etc.
At the meeting, as the main coordinator from the Kazakhstan, the meeting participants unanimously elected Gaini Mukhanova, who will represent the collective opinion of the Kazakhstan consortium of the project, to act as a key communication person from Kazakhstan.
In the near future the parties intend to hold a series of meetings for the effective implementation of the reform of the educational programs and plans, as well as involvement in the VET project activity of educational institutions.
Thus, the members of the Kazakhstan consortium met with representatives of the project from each university, shared their experiences. They held a consultation with the CDS representatives on various organizational and working issues of the project, identified plans for the future period - the active inclusion of colleges and lyceums in the project activities.
