Day I of the international seminar Tectonic Value Shifts in Post-Soviet Societies: A Biographical Approach
On August 26, a scientific-practical seminar dedicated to the study of tectonic value shifts in post-Soviet societies started at Narxoz University.
The purpose of the three-day workshop (August 26-28) is to determine the topic and objectives of fundamental research.
In his welcoming speech, the rector of Narxoz University, Andrew Wachtel, noted that the need for such dialogue platforms is caused by renovations in society.
The event brought together scientists from 5 countries: Germany, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine. Within 3 days, participants will take master classes from world experts: Professor of Social Theory and Institutions, Bangor University, Wales, UK - Howard Davis, PhD in Sociology, Professor at the Higher School of Economics - Eduard Ponarin, Professor of Sociology with a Focus on General Comparative Studies Justus Liebig University Giessen - Andreas Langenohl.
As a result of the seminar, it is planned to launch a large-scale study, where Narxoz University will act as an educational platform.
